The book seeks to offer an overview of the complex regulatory system that is related to the production of housing, providing a number of elements through which to direct the building process. In order to outline a systematic overview of the changes occurring in this sector, it adopts a historical key for analysis, taking as its reference the temporal subdivision used in studies of building production. Thus, following the ideal route of a law course, after an initial investigation aimed at clarifying in general terms the main features of the legal system, to highlight the main developments that have evolved, the analysis focuses on subjective profiles (public and private), providing an overall picture of the administrative organization, the entities directly involved in the construction process and the builders. This is followed by an analysis of those aspects connected with procedures concerning the proper use and of land, and the regulation of administrative proceedings and public contracts.
