The paper recreates the commitment of father Luigi Sturzo in the Catholic teachers' associationism and for the teaching freedom in the years before the establishment of the Italian People's Party (Partito Popolare Italiano), in particular as president of the Sicilian regional Federation of the Teachers' Association "Nicolò Tommaseo". Knowing this commitment could be useful to understand the origins of some of father Sturzo's ideas on schooling, later debated after the Great War, until Fascism seized the power.

Abstract
The paper recreates the commitment of father Luigi Sturzo in the Catholic teachers' associationism and for the teaching freedom in the years before the establishment of the Italian People's Party (Partito Popolare Italiano), in particular as president of the Sicilian regional Federation of the Teachers' Association "Nicolò Tommaseo". Knowing this commitment could be useful to understand the origins of some of father Sturzo's ideas on schooling, later debated after the Great War, until Fascism seized the power.File in questo prodotto:
